Inspection & Registration
  1. You are allowed to weigh your car on the official scale and make necessary adjustments PRIOR to your car being inspected.
  2. Each car must pass a technical inspection before it may compete. Technical inspection and registration of cars occurs from 9:00 through 11:00 am the day of the race.
  3. The Inspection Committee shall disqualify cars which do not meet the rules. If a car does not pass inspection, the owner will be informed of the reason his car did not pass (too long, too heavy, altered wheel base, or the like). Cars which fail the initial inspection may be modified and resubmitted for inspection within the registration window.
  4. To enter the race, cars must have passed inspection and be registered by the Final Inspection Deadline at 11:00 am.
  5. Once a car is registered (meeting all specifications), no further work can be performed on the car. This means it must be at racing weight and lubricated PRIOR to being inspected.
  6. Cars accepted by the inspection committee will be quarantined throughout the entire pre-race and race competition.
  7. Repair of cars damaged during racing shall be allowed during the Derby only if it does not delay the race, but no modifications shall be allowed.
  8. After passing inspection, no car shall be re-inspected unless repaired after damage in handling or in a race.
  9. Ungentlemanly or unsportsmanlike conduct by any participant or spectator will be grounds for expulsion from the competition and/or the race area.
