Patrol Meetings
Sunday 1pm @ CRBC

Den Leaders
Our Goals: Webelos is a 20 month program for 4th and 5th grade boys to prepare to join a Boy Scout troop, gradually transitioning from being an 'adult-run' den to being a 'boy-run' patrol ready to fit right into an adventurous scouting troop.

Summary: The Webelos program has two major milestones - the Webelos rank badge to be earned at the 4th grade level and the Arrow of Light to be earned at the 5th grade. The final part of Webelos is bridging over into a Boy Scout troop selected individually by the scout.

Cub Scouting Adventure Program
The Webelos program is divided into a series of “adventures,” where Webelos (as part of their patrol and/or individually) will gain experiences while working on their badge of rank. The adventures focus on learning by doing instead of learning by listening. Once a Webelos has completed the five required adventures specific to their rank and two elective adventures of his/his den’s choosing he will have earned his Webelos rank.

Each adventure is designed to take roughly three patrol meetings to implement, one of which may be an outing, ranging from attending a sporting event as a den, to taking a hike, to visiting a museum or going on a campout. At the conclusion of each adventure, an adventure pin is awarded to be worn on the Webelos colors.

The Webelos Advancement Trail is here.

Elective Adventures
In addition to the adventures required for rank advancement, there are additional elective adventures that members of the patrol may earn. The same electives are common for the overall Webelos program (Webelos and Arrow of Light).

This allows patrols to create and customize a program for the interests of the boys in the patrol as well as create the opportunity for a year-round Cub Scout program.

The Webelos and Arrow of Light Elective Adventures are here.

The advancement for the Webelos rank should be moving towards a boy lead program and more done in Patrols versus accomplishing the adventures alone.  The scout and parent can submit items they have completed to the Den Leader and in Scoutbook.com, our tracking Software. Also, your Webelos Den Leader will now sign off your activities (Unlike when your scout was a Wolf or Bearparents or guardian do not sign off the adventures. All items must be approved by the Den Leader.
